‘God Will Forgive’: Using Grace to Defend Abortion

Ask any sidewalk counselor. Odds are he or she has heard some version of this from those heading into the abortion clinic: “I know it’s wrong. But I’m a Christian and I’ve prayed about it and I know God will forgive. His grace is greater than all my sin.”

And Can It Be That I Should Gain – Sovereign Grace Music

“Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound by sin and nature’s night.
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray,
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light,
My chains fell off, my heart was free!
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee!”

Y’all. This is my story. This is why I have any love for anyone besides myself. I remember the moment my dungeon flamed with light. Jesus ransomed my soul, for the glory of the King! Hallelujah!!!!!
Such rich doctrine in these lyrics; thank you to Sovereign Grace Music, Bob Kauflin, Steve and Vikki Cook, and so many others for keeping this beautiful hymn around for us to enjoy its life-giving truth.
